Minimum Security Unit
During normal inmate work hours 7:30AM – 4:00PM Monday to Friday, inmates must wear institutional clothing (issue blue jeans and an institutional shirt or an institutional jacket with an institutional shirt underneath). No personal clothing is to be worn during work hours.
Institutional dress is worn any time the inmate is leaving their living unit.
Inmates on Work Release should wear institutional dress or work site provided uniforms.
Community Service, Family Contact, Religious observance TAs and UTAs are authorized to wear personal clothing.
Consideration is given to work locations that are employed outside and may require additional warm wear.
Inmates will continue to wear institutional clothing; however may bundle up with some personal clothing items as well.
Shift workers whose days off are through the week are exempt from institutional dress; however, must wear institutional clothing when attending the administration area.
Maximum/Medium Security Units
During normal inmate work hours 8:00AM – 4:00PM Monday to Friday, inmates will wear institutional clothing (issue blue jeans and an institutional shirt or an institutional jacket with an institutional shirt underneath). No personal clothing is to be worn during work hours.
Picture ID Cards are to be displayed (while in transit) during all working hours 8:00AM – 4:00PM and while at visits and socials.
Work boots and coveralls are only to be worn in designated work areas or on an escorted job. Work boots and coveralls are to be left in the respective work areas.
No Sweatshirts with hoods or bandanas are allowed in the institution.
No pyjamas or housecoats are permitted outside the cell at any time.
Offenders must be properly attired while in the unit common areas. Shirts are to be worn (no underwear visible).
The following clothing can be worn for institutional family gatherings:
- Long pants (except for nylon tear pants)
- T-Shirts (including Prisoner Justice Day)
- Hats
- Belts
- Sweat Shirts
- Appropriate Shorts (to be monitored by staff)
- Trading of clothing at the socials is not permitted.
