Collins Bay Institution Minimum Security is a federal minimum-security correctional facility located in Kingston, Ontario. The minimum-security unit was originally known as Frontenac Institution and was built and opened in 1962, making it approximately 64 years old in 2026. In 2013, Frontenac Institution was amalgamated with Collins Bay Institution and became its minimum-security unit. According to Correctional Service Canada, the Collins Bay minimum-security site has a rated capacity of 182 inmates. It houses federally sentenced men classified as suitable for minimum-security supervision.
