Description:

Built in 2016 the Établissement de détention d’Amos  replaces the existing 121 bed detention facility.  The new Établissement de détention d’Amos has 220 beds that accomodate both male and female offenders serving Provincial sentences or awaiting court dates.


Do I need to be on an Incarcerated person’s visitors list?

Yes. Immediate family only (and wives/girlfriends) For special cases, you can speak with the head of unit, at the extension 211.

 

How can I schedule a visit?

Yes. You can only visit an incarcerated person when you previously schedule an appointment.


Visitation Information:

Length of visit: 60 minutes.

Number of visits per week: 2.

Number of visitors per visit: 3.

Can I leave cash or money orders at the visitor desk? Yes, you can leave money during visiting hours, and you must be on the incarcerated person’s visitors list to do so.
