Joyceville Minimum was built in 1963 and originally names Pittsburgh Institution.  The minimum security Federal penitentiary was renamed Joyceville Institution when it amalgamated in 2014.

Do I need to be on an Incarcerated persons visitors list? 

Yes, visiting application form must be filled out.  If there are children visiting then a child waiver application must be filled out for the child as well.

How can I schedule a visit?

All visits must be booked at least 48 hours in advance. 

Visitation Information: 

Length of visit:  As long as visiting time permits

Number of visits per week: Visitors can visit on all visitation days if they choose.   

Number of visitors per visit: upto 3 visitors

Can I drop off money to my loved one when I visit?:  Visitors can bring cash, money orders or cheques for their loved ones
