Dorchester Penitentiary one of the oldest operating corrections failities in Canada.  Opened in 1880 there have been many changes made to Dorchester Penitentiary in recent years.  Dorchester Penitentiary is both a Medium and Minimum security penitentiary.  The minimum security site can accommodate 302 adult male Federal inmates.

Yes, visiting application form must be filled out.  If there are children visiting then a child waiver application must be filled out for the child as well.
