A new Établissement de détention de Sept-Îles was opened in 2017 to replace the old jail. The new Établissement de détention de Sept-Îles has 28 more beds than the existing facilty, it can now accommodate 55 adult male offender. The new Provincial jail costed around 91 million dollars to build.

How can I schedule a visit?
Yes. You must call and book an appointment. You can schedule your appointment from Monday to Friday, between 7:00 and 9:00PM.
Visitation Information:
Length of visit: 30 minutes.
Number of visits per week: 2.
Number of visitors per visit: 2, but it must have been specified when you have called to schedule your appointment.
Can I leave cash or money orders at the visitor desk? Yes. you can leave cash from Sunday to Saturday, between 9:00-11:30, 13:00-17:30 and 19:00-22:00.
