The South West Detention Centre, also known as Windsor Jail became operational in 2014. The new jail will replace Chatham Jail and the previous Windsor Jail. The South West Detention Centre is a 315 bed maximum security facility that accommodates both male and female offenders.

Visitation Information (Videocamera Visitations):
Length of visit: 150 minutes/week (remand), 25 minutes/week (protective custody or segregation)
Number of visits per week: 3 (remand), 2 (protective custody or segregation)
Number of visitors per visit: 2 (not including infants)
Can I drop off money to my loved one when I visit?$50 (Cash only) Monday-Friday: 8:00AM - 3:00PM.

Visiting Hours:
3rd floor custody male population: Monday, 9:00-11:00am, Thursday, 2:00-4:00pm, Sunday, 2:00-4:00pm.
1st floor custody male population: Monday, 5:00- 7:00pm. Wednesday, 2:00-4:00pm, Saturday, 9:00-11:00am.
Male dorm population: Tuesday & Saturday 2:00-4:00pm.
Male Protective Custody: Monday, 9:00-11:00am, Tuesday, 5:00-7:00pm, Friday, 9:00-11:00am, Sunday, 9:00-11:00am.
Female population: Wednesday, 5:00-7:00pm and Friday, 2:00-4:00pm.
