Stony Mountain Institution commenced operations in 1877.  It is a Maximum, Medium and Minimum Federal Penitentiary which can accommodate approximately 797 adult male inmates serving Federal sentences of more than 2 years.

Do I need to be on an Incarcerated persons visitors list? 

Yes, visiting application form must be filled out.  If there are children visiting then a child waiver application must be filled out for the child as well.
